Dear Dr. Romance:
I would like your opinion on this.. If a married woman starts seeing a single man, should the single man feel that he is sinning? The single man does not know if the woman will leave her husband or not. This is going on 7 months. The man knew she was married before the relationship started. Does the single man tell her it is over or just keep going? He has his doubts because her lifestyle would change. She is more scared about fighting for her half and also her mother. She thinks he is god and he really is not. She tells me the good and bad. He is very possessive. So why is she still in the marriage after 17 years. She can not answer that or she won't. Her marriage is just living with this man. She does not see him attractive or has not made love to him since 2001. She makes a lot of money, and it is amazing how cheap she is.
Whether or not you're sinning is outside my purview. I'm afraid this woman is just using you, to make her feel better, but I doubt she'll leave her marriage. As you say, she is financially comfortable. I doubt if she's telling you the truth about her marriage, or about whether she has sex with her husband. This doesn't sound like a good situation to me, I suggest you find a real relationship, with someone who is free to love you. "Where is love" and "Dating: The Fine Art of Squirrel Hunting" will help you get the kind of relationship you're looking for. How to Be a Couple and Still Be Free will help you find a more equal and healthy relationship.
