Dear Dr. Romance:
I feel like I am going crazy I don't want to hear my kids cry anymore, I don't have enough money for anything, I don''t have anyone that I can trust to watch my kids, because they are going through some seperation anxiety because I am the one that takes care of them day in and day out. I got a little part time 4 hours a week, but it just still does not seem like enough, I am anxious, tired ,feel like crying all the time I don't know what to do please help.
You need to take care of yourself right away. If you can find someone to watch your kids, don't worry about the kids' separation anxiety. They'll get over it, and you need the break. I'm not sure how serious your financial situation is, but if you're in danger of becoming homeless, you can look for a battered woman's shelter, which may take you and your kids in until you get things sorted out.
If you have any family or friends (or the kids' father) who could help, now's the time to swallow your pride and ask for help. You need some relief, to get rested up and get your courage back.
